What it is
Pitcrew is a web application for managing the everyday jobs involved in looking after one or more vehicles. It brings service planning, fuel records, maintenance history, reminders and spending information into one place.
The product is designed for people who want a clearer view of what has happened, what is due next and how much their vehicles are costing them.
The challenge
Vehicle information is easy to scatter across notes, receipts, calendars and memory. The challenge was to turn those separate jobs into a dependable product that stayed useful when someone was quickly checking a reminder, recording maintenance or comparing costs.
How Russell Tech built it
Russell Tech treated the interface, the application behaviour and the hosting underneath it as one connected build. The experience needed to be responsive and easy to scan, while the product foundation needed to support saved records, reminders, multiple vehicles and a growing history of activity.
The work focused on making frequent actions obvious and keeping related information together. That is important in an operational product: users should not have to remember where a detail lives or repeat the same information in several places.
