We’ll keep this site useful without collecting more information than we need. This notice explains how Russell Tech handles personal information when you use this website or contact the business.

Who is responsible for your information?

The controller is Russell Tech Limited, company number 12634481. You can contact us about privacy at info@russell-tech.co.uk.

Contact enquiries

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, company, project type, budget or timeline and message. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, assess whether we can help and take steps at your request before entering into a contract. The usual lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract; where that does not apply, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to genuine business enquiries and running the business.

Messages are sent to Russell Tech’s enquiry inboxes. They are not sold or used for unrelated marketing. If an enquiry becomes a client relationship, relevant information may be retained as part of that relationship and for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes.

How long we keep information

We normally keep an unsuccessful website enquiry and its related correspondence for up to 24 months after the last substantive contact, then delete it or anonymise it. We may keep information for longer where it is needed for an active project or client relationship, to establish or defend legal claims, or to meet a legal or accounting requirement. We review retained information periodically and delete it when it is no longer needed.

Service providers

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention, Cloudflare Web Analytics may be enabled for aggregate traffic measurement, and Cloudflare Email Service delivers form messages to the Russell Tech inboxes. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services, subject to their applicable terms and data-protection arrangements. The relevant mailbox provider also processes messages delivered to the inboxes.

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we use an applicable adequacy decision or other lawful safeguard required by UK data-protection law.

Security and technical information

The site uses rate limiting and security monitoring to protect the contact endpoint. This may involve technical information such as IP address, request metadata and Cloudflare Ray ID. Application logs are designed not to contain the contact form’s submitted message, name or email address.

Analytics, cookies and local storage

If enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics is a cookieless service used for aggregate traffic information. We do not use behavioural analytics, advertising profiles or marketing trackers.

This site does not require advertising cookies. The privacy notice may use browser local storage under the key rt-privacy-notice solely to remember that you dismissed the notice. It is not used to identify you or track your activity across sites.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, restriction of processing, objection to processing, or data portability. You can also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise a right, email info@russell-tech.co.uk. You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
